Welcome
Medway Council's Sports Development Team recognises the significance of sport and working in partnership with a network of local, county, regional and national organisations aims:
- To provide high quality accessible opportunities for people to participate in sport and active recreation at all levels
- To make people more aware of the benefits of adopting a fit and healthy lifestyle
To help meet these objectives, the Sports Development Team has created a new online register of sports coaches that are active within Medway.
Updated regularly, this register will:
- Help to publicise coach development opportunities
- Provide an invaluable resource for schools and other community organisations wishing to develop local sports provisions
All sports coaches will be thoroughly screened before being entered on to this register and will be offered nationally recognised first aid and child protection training free of charge.

The Sports Development Team would like to thank Extended Services and Medway's School Sports Partnerships for funding this online register and the associated sports code of practice that will support schools to deliver out-of-hours (on-site) sporting activities involving adults other than teachers.
